秋について英語で話そう

秋が好きな人は多いですが私は、、、

私にとって、秋は決して大好きな季節ではありません。それどころか、秋の始まりはいつも私を少し憂鬱にするのです。段々寒くなって、木々の葉が散り、日が暮れるのが早くなり、夜が長くなるのと共に。
でも、すぐに立ち直ります。特に1年で1番好きな日々、クリスマスの事を考え始めると！

すごく奇妙な事だと分かっていますが、私はすでに頭の中で今年のクリスマスについて計画し始めています。私は本当にクリスマスが大好きで今年ももちろん例外ではありません。
でもとりあえず、今日のサブジェクト「秋」について話を続けましょう。

先ほど述べた通り、私は秋が大好きではありませんが、秋のすべてが嫌いという訳ではありません。まず秋は、かぼちゃ、さつまいも、キノコ、さんまなどの食べ物とても美味しいです。それに秋はお鍋の季節でもあります。日本の秋は沢山のごちそうがあるのです。

そして秋は旅行に行くにも素晴らしい季節です。温泉地で紅葉を眺めるのは日本での経験の真骨頂でしょう。今年、私達家族は御船山へ行き、チームラボのイベントを見て、秋の景色を楽しむ予定です。とても楽しみです。

私は秋に九州の多くの場所を旅行しました。最も良かった場所をピックアップするのはとても難しいですが、雲仙は素晴らしかったですし、黒川は本当に美しかった。湯布院、天ケ瀬、杖立....他にも週末の秋のお出かけに、素晴らしい場所が沢山あります。
こんなにも多くの美しい場所へ短いドライブで行ける、福岡に住んでいる私達はとてもラッキーです。

Talking about Autumn in English

Autumn is definitely not my favourite season, on the contrary, it always makes me feel a little blue especially at its start. It’s something to do with the colder weather, the falling leaves, the shorter days and the longer nights but I soon get over it especially as I start thinking about my favourite days of the year, Christmas!! 

I know it’s really strange but I have already started planning in my head this year’s Christmas celebrations, I’m a huge Christmas fan and this year won’t be any different! But let’s stick to our subject of today which is of course autumn.

As I mentioned before I am not a huge fan of the autumn season, but that doesn’t mean I hate everything about it. For a start, food really tastes good in autumn, pumpkins, sweet potatoes, mushrooms, pacific sauries, also autumn is a good season for hotpot so there are many delicacies to feast on in the Japanese autumn.

Also autumn is a great time for travelling, seeing the autumn leaves at a hot spring resort is a quintessential Japanese experience. This year my family and I are going to Mifuneyama to see the team Labo event and also enjoy the autumn scenery. I’m really looking forward to it. 

I have travelled to many different places in Kyushu in the autumn season and it’s very hard to pick my favourite, Unzen was great, Kurokawa was so beautiful, Yufuin, Amagase, Tsuetate and many many other places are great autumn destinations for a weekend getaway. We, people living in Fukuoka, are very lucky to have so many beautiful places to go to at a short drive’s distance.
