2021年マイベスト- Part 1 旅行編

皆さんこんにちは。

今年も終わりに近づいて来ました。コロナのせいで、最高の年だったとは言えませんが、人生は続いて行くものです！
殆どの方と同様に、今年は福岡外へ旅行に行く機会は多くはありませんでしたが、例年同様、九州のいくつかの場所を訪れました。
今年旅行した中で最も良かった場所は、間違いなく長崎の五島にある小値賀島です。私達はゴールデンウィークにそこに数日間滞在し、宿泊した場所は最高でした。私達が泊まったのは古い日本の家（古民家）で、今までに宿泊した中で最も美しい建物でした。特に、茶室とそこからの専用庭の眺めは素晴らしく、私は午後の多くの時間を読書をしたりビールを飲んだりして、その部屋で過ごしました。
福岡の忙しい生活から抜け出す必要がある全ての人に、小値賀島とその古民家をお勧めします。

Hey everyone,

The end of the year is approaching and while it hasn’t been the best of years due to the pandemic, life goes on! 
This year, like most of you, I haven’t had many chances to travel outside Fukuoka though I have travelled to a few places in Kyushu as I usually do every year. The best place I’ve travelled to this year must be Ojikajima which is a small island in Goto, Nagasaki. We stayed there for a few days in the Golden week and the best part of the trip was the place we stayed at. It was an old Japanese home (Kominka) and it was one of the most beautiful buildings I have ever stayed at. Especially the Japanese tea room with a view of the private garden was stunning. I spend most of my afternoons in that room, reading and drinking beer. I recommend that house and that island for anyone that needs a getaway from their busy lives in Fukuoka.

その古民家には現代的なキッチンがあるので、私達はそこで料理をする事ができました。特にこの時期はコロナの影響や、小値賀島の人口の多くが高齢者である事も有り、夜に外食するのはあまり良いとは思えませんでした。
私達は美しい建物の地元の懐石料理レストランや安くて美味しい焼き鳥屋さんにも行きましたが、それ以外の多くの時間を島をドライブしたり家でリラックスして過ごしました。

滞在中のある日、私達はボートで1時間ほど離れた場所にある、野崎島にトレッキングに行きました。野崎島は、今では無人島になっていますが、美しい風景と、廃墟となる以前の島の生活を垣間見る事ができます。そこでは美しい教会へ訪れる事もできます。

There was a modern kitchen in that house so we could cook our meals there. Especially these times because of the coronavirus and because so much of the population of Ojika is elderly, it was not especially comfortable going out for dinner. We went to a local Kaiseki restaurant which also was a wonderful building and to a Yakitori place which was cheap and delicious but other than that we spent most of the time driving around the island and relaxing at home.

On one day during our stay we went trekking in the island of Nozakijima which is about an hour or so away by boat. Nozakijima is uninhabited nowadays but offers wonderful scenery and a glimpse of life on that island before it was abandoned. There is also a very nice church you can visit there.

小値賀島はとても美しい島で、数カ所の美しいビーチもあります。海は透き通っていて、夏に海水浴に行くには最高の場所です。

Ojikajima is a very beautiful island and has a couple of beautiful beaches which we visited. The beaches and the water are clear and are a great place to go to in the summer for swimming.

私は小値賀島で本当に素晴らしい時間を過ごし、また行きたいと願っています。
博多からフェリーで行く事ができますが、フェリーは深夜発で小値賀島に翌日の早朝４時に到着する事を覚えておいて下さい。

I had a truly wonderful time there and hopefully I will be able to go again. You can travel there by ferry from Hakata though please note that the ferry leaves at midnight and arrives in Ojikajima at 4 am the next day.
